The thief realized that he couldn't escape this time, so he decided to surrender. He returned all the things he had stolen and apologized to the villagers. He promised to never steal from them again.
The villagers were surprised by the thief's change of heart. They had never expected him to give up stealing so easily. They decided to forgive him and welcome him into their community.
The thief was grateful for their kindness and he soon became a very helpful member of the village. He used his magic to help the villagers whenever they needed it, and he always made sure to keep his promise to never steal again.
And so, the thief who had once caused so much trouble in the village became a respected member of the community. His mischievousness turned into kindness, and he lived happily ever after.
